Aug 19 2013 when i first read this i was thinking angle grinder that's awful fast but as i went back over it i deduce that it is a low speed buffing machine for buffing paint on cars. what would make an angle grinder usable would be an adjustable speed trigger. i think you did a good job.

Feb 16 2014 here is the 3 by 2 round plank i made my drive weal out of. i turned it with that tiny chisel. i made the chisel a while back for doing engraving but it worked alright for a metal turning tool. not the best finish but it spins and drives the belt just fine!

Jan 17 2019 i wanted to build a 2 x72 belt grinder to use to make a few knives. i viewed many videos on youtube how a treadmill motor was used and how it was wired with a speed control purchased off ebay. i got the unit all put together and started grinding a bevel on a knife blank. it lasted about 3 minutes and the grinder quit.
